Unalaska Police Blotter 11/13 - 11/19/2016
11/13/16 Sun 0119 Liquor Law Violation – While conducting a bar check, an Officer contacted a drunken individual who was being aggressive. The individual was removed from the bar for the remainder of the night.
11/13/16 Sun 0355 Welfare Check – The captain of a vessel called 911 to report he was unable to control his drunken crew. The crew showed no respect toward the captain and showed this disrespect by continued food fights. Officers responded and determined that there had been no crime committed.
11/13/16 Sun 1156 Traffic Roads – Caller reported a large piece of metal in the roadway. An officer responded and removed the metal from the roadway.
11/13/16 Sun 1250 Environmental – Caller reported unsecure sheet metal at a local business. Due to the impending storm, there was concern about the metal remaining in its current unsecure location. The responsible party was notified.
11/13/16 Sun 1455 Environmental – An officer witnessed the glass door to one of the City’s loaders swing open in the wind and shatter.
11/13/16 Sun 1704 Fire Response – Fire officers responded to a fire alarm at a bunkhouse.
11/13/16 Sun 1705 Assistance Rendered – Officer assisted in a fire response.
11/13/16 Sun 2122 Welfare Check – Officers responded to a 911 call where a distressed sounding female caller would not answer any questions. Investigation revealed that a husband and wife were having an argument but that no criminal activity had occurred.
11/14/16 Mon 0437 Traffic Roads – Road’s Chief contacted due to icy road conditions.
11/14/16 Mon 1034 Traffic Roads – Officers responded to assist a motorist who had slid into a ditch. The driver was afraid to remove his foot from the brake as he suspected his vehicle would continue to slide off the roadway. With the assistance of the road’s crew, the vehicle was safely removed from the ditch.
11/14/16 Mon 1358 Trespass – Officers advised an individual of a trespass advisement from a local business.
11/14/16 Mon 1413 Theft – Caller reported his wallet stolen from a local bar. Officers were able to identify the person who took the wallet by use of surveillance video. The wallet was returned prior to officer contact as the suspect discovered he had mistakenly taken the wrong wallet.
11/14/16 Mon 1520 Assault – Individuals reported a possible assault. Further questioning revealed that the suspected assailant and the possible victim were frequently together drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana and that the reported behavior was not consistent with assault charges.
11/14/16 Mon 1701 Liquor Law Violation – Officer conducted a licensed premise inspection.
11/14/16 Mon 1824 Ambulance Request – EMS responded to assist a 63 year old male who is having a possible heart attack.
11/14/16 Mon 1856 Assistance Rendered – Officer assisted with an EMS call.
11/14/16 Mon 1915 Animal – Officers responded and investigated a report of a dog bite.
11/14/16 Mon 1949 Liquor Law Violation - Officer conducted a licensed premise inspection.
11/14/16 Mon 2327 Drunk Disturbance – Caller reported a highly intoxicated man stumbling in the middle of the roadway, cussing, and gesturing at vehicles as they passed. Officers assisted the individual in getting to his residence.
11/14/16 Mon 2347 Liquor Law Violation – Officers advised an individual not to return to a licensed premise due to his high level of intoxication.
11/15/16 Tue 0044 Death Investigation – Officers conducted an investigation into the death of a 69 yo man.
11/15/16 Tue 0050 EMS Other Services – EMS assisted with transported a deceased person from the clinic to the morgue.
11/15/16 Tue 0951 Civil Paper Services All – Officer served a subpoena to appear for an administrative hearing.
11/15/16 Tue 1011 Suspicious Person/Activity – Caller reported loud banging noises disturbing her. Officers were unable to locate any loud banging noises.
11/15/16 Tue 1035 Assistance Rendered – Caller requested assistance in gaining entry to her residence. Officers were unable to gain access to the residence using any means other than breaking a window in the door.
11/15/16 Tue 1355 Suspicious Person/Activity – Caller reported an unknown person had attempted to gain access to his residence. Officers were able to locate the suspect who stated he was looking for his friend’s house. The suspect was advised not to attempt to gain entry to random people’s houses.
11/15/16 Tue 1641 Assist Other Agency – Officers assisted Kenai Probation in conducted a UA and PBT of a probationer. The probationer was found to be in compliance.
11/15/16 Tue 1650 Trespass – Caller reported a suspicious person lurking around the high school. The individual had been removed from the school three times yet he continued to stay in the area. Officers contacted the suspect and advised him not to return to the school.
11/15/16 Tue 1733 Traffic Roads – Caller reported a large pile of rocks blocking traffic. Officers responded and were able to remove the rocks from the roadway.
11/15/16 Tue 2042 Harassment – Caller reported an individual was refusing to leave his residence and was become aggressive. Officers contacted the individual who had left the caller’s residence. The suspect was issued a trespass advisement at the request of the caller.
11/16/16 Wed 1124 Suspicious Person/Activity – Caller reported an individual behaving oddly at the airport. Officers contacted the person who did not appear to be causing any problems.
11/16/16 Wed 2303 Suspicious Person/Activity – Caller reported an individual had entered his taxi and dropped a handgun out of his pocket. The driver advised the individual he could not be inside the taxi with a gun. Officers responded and determined that Mark Snigaroff, 21 yoa, had violated his release conditions. Due to continuing problems and complaints, it was determined that Snigaroff was a danger to the community and such he was remanded into custody on a previous charge of Misconduct Involving Weapons.
11/17/16 Thu 0024 Noise Disturbance – Caller reported loud music disturbing their peace. Officers contacted two individuals who stated they had been playing loud music but had recently turned the music down after their neighbors complained.
11/17/16 Thu 0156 Theft – Caller reported her ex-boyfriend had stolen her marijuana pipe and a tablet she recently bought from an individual so the individual could purchase drugs. The caller had no evidence to support that her ex had taken the items and she didn’t want to pursue charges, she just wanted her pipe back. Shortly after the officers left, the caller reported her ex had returned her pipe and she had found her tablet under her bed.
11/17/16 Thu 0937 Assistance Rendered – Caller reported suspicious activity at the bank. The suspect was shortly after taken into custody in another matter and such was no longer a concern for the bank.
11/17/16 Thu 1112 Custody – Mark Snigaroff, 21 yoa taken into custody.
11/17/16 Thu 1336 Trespass – Individual issued a trespass order from all PCR property.
11/17/16 Thu 1355 Assistance Rendered – Officer provided security for the bank.
11/17/16 Thu 1758 Trespass – Two drunk and unruly patrons were issued trespass advisements from a local drinking establishment.
11/17/16 Thu 1809 Liquor Law Violation – Two individual were advised that they were too intoxicated to enter or remain upon a license premise.
11/17/16 Thu 2205 Assault – Caller reported a fight involving 5 individuals. Officer responded and discovered the fight was a verbal altercation only.
11/17/16 Thu 2206 Assistance Rendered – Caller reported an individual creating a disturbance at his residence. Officers responded and contacted the offending individual. He was issued a trespass advisement from the resident.
11/17/16 Thu 2230 Trespass - Three of the individuals involved in an earlier altercation were issued trespass advisements.
11/17/16 Thu 2237 Trespass – Officers contacted an individual who had been creating a disturbance and issued a trespass advisement at the request of a local resident.
11/18/16 Fri 0732 Drunk Disturbance – Caller reported a drunken individual causing a disturbance at a local hotel. Officers contacted the suspect who refused to comply with repeated requests to remain in his room and stop disturbing the guests of the hotel. The individual was eventually escorted from the hotel and told not to return.
11/18/16 Fri 0800 Liquor Law Violation – Officers advised an individual that he was too drunk to enter or remain upon a license premise.
11/18/16 Fri 0805 Trespass – Individual issued a trespass advisement from all of a local company’s property.
11/18/16 Fri 1534 MVA-Damage – An unlicensed driver who was in the process of taking her driver’s test, backed into the flag pole at Public Safety. Only minor damage was noticed to the offending vehicle.
11/18/16 Fri 1712 Suspicious Person/Activity – Caller reported an individual had been sleeping in the foyer of a bunkhouse and was suspected of rifling through several vehicles. The individual was contacted and issued a trespass advisement from the property owner.
11/18/16 Fri 1738 Animal – Officer assisted in euthanizing a family pet.
11/18/16 Fri 1857 Trespass – Caller reported four individuals causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. The individuals were contacted and eventually agreed to leave.
11/18/16 Fri 1903 Liquor Law Violation – Officers contacted an individual who was clearly intoxicated. The individual was advised not to enter or remain upon any license premise until such time that he was no longer drunk.
11/18/16 Fri 2254 Trespass – Officer issued a trespass advisement to an individual upon the request of a local bar.
11/19/16 Sat 1509 Assistance Rendered – Officers provided traffic control during a funeral procession.
11/19/16 Sat 1559 Welfare Check – Officers conducted a welfare check on an extremely intoxicated female who had called Public Safety. The individual was found to not be in need or Public Safety assistance.
