Fire Safety—Fire personnel responded to a report of a large amount of black smoke originating from a burn pile near Strawberry Hill. Shortly before the report, a local company had called to notify Public Safety they be beginning their approved, controlled burn. Fire personnel responded to the location of the burn pile and found all was well, and in compliance with stipulations listed on the permit. |

Fraud—Officers spoke with an individual who believed he may be getting scammed by one of the local internet service providers. Officers documented the incident, but ultimately found the issue to be civil in nature, and advised the individual to possibly pursue civil action through the court. |

This occurred because vehicles were unable to slow down due to the slippery conditions of the roadway. The vehicle slowed to turn, and was cut off by the offending vehicle, causing the vehicles to collide. The offending driver was cited. |
