Trespass—Security for a local cannery requested an individual be trespassed from their bar, liquor store and restaurant for six months.  Officers contacted the subject and advised him of the trespass.

Sexual Assault/Offense—Officers investigated a report of inappropriate advances at a local cannery.  Investigation revealed that the suspect had hugged and attempted to kiss a woman in a phone booth.  Bishar Ali Hassan, 30 yoa, was arrested for Harassment in the 1^st degree.

Drug Law Violation—While responding to a trespass call, Officers observed drugs on the individual’s property.  Kevin Lorenzo McBooth Jr.; 31 yoa, was charged with Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances in the 4^th degree.

Welfare Check—Officers responded to a local residence to conduct a welfare check on an individual who reported that he was out of his medication.  Upon contacting the subject, he stated that he did not need medication and he was not in need of medical assistance; the individual was clearly under the influence of alcohol.

Traffic Roads—Drivers for a local shipping company encountered a rock slide on Captains Bay Road.  Officers observed the large pile of rocks in the roadway and it was determined that the Roads crew was needed to clear the debris.  Officers put flares on both sides of the rocks to alert oncoming traffic.

Traffic Crime—Officers responded to a report of a white box truck driving erratically on Airport Beach Road.  Officers contacted the driver and warned him about driving recklessly.

Welfare Check—Officers conducted a welfare check on a Public Safety employee who was not feeling well.  Information was passed on to the employee’s supervisor.

Welfare Check—Dispatch received a 911 call from a number belonging to a local business.  There was no sound of emergency and nothing said.  Officers contacted the primary contact for the business who stated that nobody was supposed to be inside the office.  Officers examined the perimeter of the building and did not see anything suspicious, a business representative than showed up and examined the interior of the building to confirm that it was unoccupied and nothing had been harmed.

Animal—Animal Control Officer took possession of a yellow lab that was running loose at local park.  The lab was placed in Public Safety until its owner was identified.  Dog owner came to Public Safety shortly after looking for his dog; dog was released to owner.

Disorderly Conduct—Christopher Vee, 32 yoa, was arrested for disorderly conduct when he refused to listen to Officers who were instructing him to stop making loud noises at the Airport.

Theft—Security for a local cannery requested officer assistance with a possible theft. Upon arrival officers learned that the victim was reporting that their tablet, computer, and $240 had been stolen from them. The victim suspected their roommates. Officers were unable to locate the stolen items.

Animal—Officers responded to a report of a dog that had found its way into someone’s house and would not leave. Officers had received a report earlier of a missing dog, and upon arrival discovered the dog to match the description of the dog reported missing earlier. The owner was contacted and was able to retrieve their dog from the residence.

Welfare Check—Officers checked on an individual reported to be unresponsive in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers found the person resting on the sidewalk of the South Channel Bridge next to their long board. Officers had an extended conversation with the individual and found that the individual appeared to be intoxicated, but found nothing else concerning. Officers observed the individual to begin walking back home.

Missing Person—Officers received a report of a missing person. Officers checked with taxi companies, as well as attempting to locate a social media page for the missing. The individual who reported the incident responded back to Public Safety approximately three hours later with the individual who had been reported missing.

Welfare Check—Dispatch received a 911 call from an intoxicated individual who was claiming that we had taken their medicine from them. The individual was asked to call back on Public Safety’s main phone line. They did not re-contact on the main line. Officers contacted the individual who was found to be well, just very intoxicated. The individual was advised to contact the clinic in the morning about their medicine.

Sexual Assault/Offense—Officers spoke with an individual who had reported being sexually assaulted in the night. The individual had woken up with minimal amounts of clothing on. This case is still under investigation.

Sexual Assault/Offense—Officers responded to a report of a possible sexual assault at a local cannery. Officers were told by the victim that the assailant would not leave them alone and continually made sexual remarks as well as inappropriately touching the victim. The victim did not wish to press charges but did want the assailant advised to no longer contact him. Officers advised the assailant to no longer contact the victim.

Officers explained that in the future, they would need to make sure they had the money before calling for a taxi.

Fire Safety—Officers responded to a report of a large fire near the landfill. Officers observed the fire to be well contained. Dispatch also contacted Fire personnel to assess the fire as well, who also reported it appeared to be well contained. Dispatch attempted to contact landfill personnel but were unsuccessful in doing so.

MVA-Damage—Officers responded to a report of an individual reporting they had rolled their vehicle. The individual reporting the incident had overheard the driver bragging about the incident just a few moments earlier. Officers spoke with the driver who was able to show officers where they had rolled the vehicle. Medical attention was not needed for the driver.

DUI—Officers arrested Vaoatea Ioane, 33 yoa after speaking with him about a vehicle he had rolled earlier. After Ioane showed officers where he had rolled the vehicle, officers then arrested him after observing Ioane to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers also located a bottle of alcohol in the front seat of the rolled vehicle.

The individual who reported the incident was concerned for the health of the driver of the boat. Officers contacted the owner of the boat to find they were in good health, and had simply run out of fuel.
