Commendations:

If you believe that an employee should be commended for providing high-quality service, we encourage you to let us know by writing a letter, or sending an email to the Director, the Deputy Police Chief, or the Fire Chief. Verbal commendations may also be given to any Department supervisor by calling 581-1233.

Suggestions:

The Unalaska Police Department welcomes suggestions from our citizens on how we can better serve our community.  Suggestions may be submitted via letter, email, or by calling 581-1233 and speaking with the Director, Deputy Police Chief, or the Fire Chief.

Complaints about employees:

The Unalaska Police Department (UPD) is committed to providing professional, high-quality services to all members of the community.  UPD does not tolerate misconduct or wrongdoing on the part of its members. If you believe you have been subjected to, or witnessed, misconduct of any type, UPD encourages you to report the incident.  Citizens are encouraged to voice their concerns or dissatisfaction immediately to the on-duty supervisor, or by contacting a command staff member during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, by calling (907) 581-1233.  The complaint process is described in the document listed below titled "Complaint Process".
