Jail Rules
Visitation Hours
Visiting hours are from: 10:00 am – 11:30 am; 14:00 pm – 16:00 pm; and, 19:00 pm – 21:00 pm, seven day per week. Visitations are limited to no more than three personal visits a day, each of which will be limited to 15 minutes duration. Physicians, Lawyers, Clergy and Bail Bondsman may fall outside these restrictions. Persons visiting the jail must be at least 18 years of age, show valid ID, and not under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. All visitors are subject to being searched. Minors (under the age of 18) may visit only if accompanied by a parent or guardian; no more than two (2) minor may accompany a single adult.
Activity in Public Safety (in, or beyond, the jail) may make the visitation unsafe or impractical. If the Corrections Officer is busy, the visit may be shortened, or rescheduled. Inmates are not allowed to have visitors when:
1. The inmate is awaiting arraignment.
2. The inmate is in a lockdown status.
3. A legal issue prohibits the inmate from having contact.
Inmate Property
Prisoners may receive a reasonable amount of material from outside the jail that is brought into the facility by friends or relatives in accordance with the provisions of this section.
Permitted Items:
• Reading materials
• Personal letters
• Writing materials
• Prescribed medications
Prohibited Items:
• All items classified as contraband
• Cigarettes, matches, lighters, cigars, chewing tobacco, etc.
• Electrical or electronic devices
• Home cooked or baked goods
• Restaurant prepared foods
All other items being considered for introduction into the jail will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Corrections Officer to determine eligibility for admission into the facility.
