Status of Ravn Scheduled Service
Unalaska, Alaska, Monday, November 18, 2019, 10:30 a.m.
This update was received from Ravn on Friday, November 15, 2019:
RavnAir Group would like to thank the community of Unalaska for its patience as we have moved forward with daily scheduled air service to the community, using the DeHavilland Dash 8.
As the community is aware, we had previously scheduled flights through December 25, 2019. We are working with Alaska Airlines, as they are moving all customer reservations to RavnAir Alaska through December 25. Per Alaska Airlines announcement today, “Anyone who booked a ticket through Alaska Airlines that is now one of the canceled PenAir flights, will receive an email informing them that their DUT-ANC or ANC-DUT flight will automatically be rebooked on a Ravn flight, for no additional charge. This will apply both to tickets purchased with cash, and those booked as award flights through Alaska Airlines Mileage Program. Bags will be checked to the guest’s final destination. For more information please see Alaska Airlines blog at https://blog.alaskaair.com/alaska-airlines/operations/penair-flight-3296/
RavnAir Group plans to have a schedule from December 25th on, posted sometime in the next week to address holiday travel and the important upcoming A Season, at which time, Alaska Airlines will be able to move reservations from this time period to RavnAir Alaska as well.
Based on the above, Alaska Airlines is presently working to rebook passengers holding Alaska Air / PenAir tickets through December 24th onto Ravn flights.
Ravn is working up a flight schedule for December 25th and beyond and hope to have this schedule completed by the end of this week. At that time, travelers holding Alaska Airlines / Pen Air tickets for that time period will be rebooked onto Ravn flights.
