IF YOU WILL BE OUT OF TOWN ON OCTOBER 3, 2017, YOU MAY VOTE ABSENTEE BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 IN THE UNALASKA CITY CLERK’S OFFICE, CITY HALL, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. OR BY FILING A WRITTEN APPLICATION FOR A BALLOT. BALLOTS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO LOCAL ADDRESSES.
YOU MAY ALSO APPLY TO VOTE BY ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION BY CONTACTING THE UNALASKA CITY CLERK’S OFFICE. VOTING BY ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LOCAL FAX NUMBERS.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO VOTE BY REASON OF PHYSICAL DISABILITY ON ELECTION DAY, YOU MAY APPOINT A PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE TO BRING A BALLOT TO YOU OR YOU MAY REQUEST THE CITY CLERK TO BRING ONE TO YOU.
IF A VOTER REQUIRES SPECIAL ASSISTANCE TO VOTE ON ELECTION DAY BY REASON OF BLINDNESS, DISABILITY, OR INABILITY TO READ OR WRITE, THE VOTER MAY BE GIVEN ASSISTANCE BY A PERSON OF THE VOTER’S CHOICE.
