Special Events
The following special events are hosted by the Aquatics Center annually, and are always exciting! Please refer to our seasonal department Activity Guide for specific dates and times.
Community Swim Meets
Fall is an exciting time for Alaska competition swimming!
Each year we host the Unalaska Raiders and and community swimmers in friendly and fierce competition. Meets are held Friday evenings in September and October.
Pumpkin Plunge
Fall lovers of all ages are invited to frolic in our floating pumpkin patch! Medium sized pumpkins are placed in the pool, participants have 30 minutes to swim around and find that perfect Halloween pumpkin, then are invited upstairs to the Mezzanine where paints, glitter, stickers and other fun decorations are available to make it a masterpiece! Event is held annually the Saturday before Halloween weekend, in October.
