Services, Fees and Policies
Unalaska Public Library offers the following services:
Internet Access and Computer Use
Any visitor may use our free wifi and public computers. Time limits may apply, depending on demand.
Library Cards
An Unalaska Public Library card is available to any user upon presentation of a valid government-issued ID and local mailing address. New patrons will undergo a trial period of one month, during which they may check out one book and one movie.
Items for Check-Out
Books and magazines check out for three weeks. There are no overdue fees for these items, but please return them promptly. Movies check out for one week, with a limit of four discs at a time and a late fee of $1.00 per item per day.
Interlibrary Loan
If you would like to borrow an item that we do not own, we may be able to borrow it from another library. There is no fee for this service.
eBooks and Audio Downloads
These are available through Alaska Digital Library and the Overdrive and Libby apps.
Research and Local History
The Ray Hudson Room contains Alaska maps, reference books, non-circulating books, and newspapers for the Bristol Bay area on microfilm. This room is reserved for quiet, serious study and research.
