Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are an integral part of the Unalaska Fire Department emergency responses for the City of Unalaska and the International Port of Dutch Harbor.

Being a Unalaska Fire Department Volunteer Member is an extremely rewarding experience. Firefighters, Paramedics, and EMT's make a difference in the community by coming to the aid of people in times of their greatest need. Life and death is often in the balance. Unalaska Fire Department Volunteers have and will continue to positively impact the well-being of all people in this community.

Volunteers meet weekly on Thursday evenings for dinner at 6:00PM and from 7:00PM to 9:00PM for training.

Volunteer applications are accepted on a continuous basis.
