Unalaska Marine Center (UMC) Dock Expansion
April 29, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Council Chambers at City Hall, 43 Raven Way
The public is invited to attend a meeting hosted by the City of Unalaska Ports Department. The purpose of the meeting is to present a project overview and to gather public input, comments and concerns regarding the scope of the project to replace the existing pile supported UMC Dock Positions III and IV with an Open Cell Sheet Pile® bulkhead dock (between the existing UMC dock and the U.S. Coast Guard dock). In addition to the dock structure itself, the City desires input from the public and potential users groups regarding other items this project may include such as: crane rails (50-foot or 100-foot gauge), the addition of utilities, a new cargo handling facility, loading docks, dock surfacing, storage facilities, cold storage and new office building with parking. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
