The City of Unalaska bills residential, commercial and industrial customers on a monthly basis for electricity, water, wastewater and landfill services. For your current rates please refer to the most recent schedule of fees and charges.

To apply for utility service, complete a Utility Service Application (either the Individual or Business Form) along with the Utility Service Change Form (click on the links below).
Once the forms are completed, submit them to the Finance Department at City Hall by fax, mail or hand delivery. We will also need a copy of your valid state-issued identification card and the required utility deposit.

You may pay your utility bill by mail; in person with cash, check, debit or credit card in the Finance Department at City Hall, 2nd floor; or over the telephone with your credit or debit card by calling (907) 581-1251.

The State of Alaska has a program through the Department of Health & Social Services to help with the cost of home heating. Eligibility is based on where you live, the type of fuel used, the type of dwelling, household size and income.
A link to the Heating Assistance Program is at the bottom of this page. We have copies of the application in the Finance Department and you can mail or fax the application to:
