PROJECT CONSTRUCTION NOTICE - ELECTRIC AUTOMATIC METER READING PROJECT

PROJECT CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
The Electric Distribution Division of the Department of Public Utilities will begin implementation of the meter replacement phase of the Automatic Metering System Capital Project on Monday, November 18, 2019.
This project will allow for the automatic meter reading system, and island wide synchronization of the work of Electric Production, Electric Distribution, and Utility Billing Divisions of the City of Unalaska.
Customers on Standard Oil Hill will be the first to receive the new meters. The line crew will be conducting the change outs on a door to door knocking basis during regular city business hours until implementation is complete. Each process lasts minutes.
*NOTE: THE DISCOVERY OF DETERIORATING METER BASES IS HIGHLY LIKELY AND CUSTOMERS IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE WILL RECEIVE A NOTICE TO REPLACE.
